Can mibew "push" a chat to a visitor ?
scanreg:
If a visitor is detected on the site, can mibew push a chat window to the visitor to see if the visitor would like some help, etc?
Thanks :)

You can't necessarily "push" the chat to the visitor but what you can do is set-up some javascript that after a certain amount of time, the visitor is prompted with a pop up that when the click on it, takes them to the chat.
This is probably the "best" way to do it but remember, it can become annoying.

Thanks, don't want it to be annoying, that's for sure, maybe have the javascript run just once with the offer but if declined it's not offered for the rest of that visitor's session, not sure how to set up a 'show once' type of thing but I think this would be a good approach

I agree with dmcdaniel, its kinda annoying if a visitor to your site is directed to a chat room. And the idea of having a JavaScript might work. But still it would be okay if you just place the chat box in the sidebar.

Hopefully it gets to the point of having a proactive chat system. We are currently using this in an online school and would love to push a chat out to individual students. We have it setup so that when a student initiates a chat, their LDAP info is automatically put into Mibew to prevent spoofing as another student.
