Topic: Please explain set status online offline

Hello,

I am a newby.

I am struggling to understand the set status "Away"/"Available" I assume this is simple. I click the link Set "Available" status or Set "Away" status, but as I test, I click the "Set Away status", and the front end page still shows the ONLINE button. In some cases, the ONLINE button shows, and the leave message window pops up... etc

If somebody could explain to me how to systematically manage the online/offline setting, and how it is affected when I am no longer active in the mibew window, and I am browsing in other windows. Do I need to always have the window onfocus?

Can I find the documentation anywhere?

From what I understand the away button purely changes you to an offline operator. It takes a few seconds to refresh as defined in the settings so you may have to wait for a few seconds for it to update.

You can find the time delay within settings > performance on the operator interface.
