Topic: Can create channel for my group member?

I installed mibew in my localhost.
It work good, but i have a question about it: "Can i create a channel for my group?"
For example, if I have a group members want to discuss a topic, and thay want to talk together in a chat application, so, can mibew support me to do it?
I have tried to modify the code of chatting box, It seem easy for me to customize, but I have not yet try to create group.
