Dealing with Unusual Characters in Mibewroot
« on: March 23, 2014, 08:39:34 PM »
Hi, I've been installing MiBew on our webpage and have come up with an issue.

the directory for the $mibewroot is /~warwickn/mibew/

However when accessing I get this error

"Wrong value of $mibewroot variable, should be "/~warwickn/mibew""

Which is exactly what I typed in, I believe the error comes about from the ~ in the directory, what could be done about this?

Hi!

Yes, your suggestion is correct. Now the bug is fixed. Just wait for the next release of Mibew (actually, it's a matter of days if not hours), or get patch from our public repository: https://github.com/Mibew/mibew/commit/d819e207216da8b972967598adfcb0f49db2f109#diff-c63528b802c47aed2bb92855fb5f9673

Well. First of all, the problem with the checksum is very easy to solve. Take a look at this thread to figure out the way: http://mibew.org/forums/index.php/topic,191502.msg197269.html

And second of all, we've just released Mibew Messenger 1.6.10.  :D
