Desktop Tray Crashes Mid Conversation

We have the desktop tray running for simple questions from customers.  It is running on version 1.1.1.0 and we will be in the middle of a conversation and the window will disappear and we have to log back in after we reopen it.  Any ideas why this would be happening on a regular basis?  There is no warning either it just closes out and has to be reopened manually.
