I see an option

Enable "Jabber notifications"
— Instant notification of new visitor (require Mibew Jabber software)

in "optional services". What is that about? What is this Mibew Jabber software? I tried
to find on the web but failed.

I searched for "jabber software" because that sounded like my best bet. I should also have searched for "Mibew Jabber", since I now see
that it leads to the very two links you provided me.
