Chat input focus removed when new Chat History updated

I have a question pertaining to the focus on the window of the chat input field. As I am writing a message in this field, if the chat history is updated (like when a client or admin submits his/her message) during my typing, it steals the focus away from this field. Thus I have to re click the input field, after each exchange of messages. It becomes impossible to type back and forth as I am continually interrupted as the other user leaves messages. Has anyone else had this problem? And, is there any fix to it that is known?

This i believe is because you have the setting to bring forth the window when you recieve a message. If you could give me a couple days to give you the fix, i'm up late as it is, and will be traveling and busy time.
