Inspirer:
Mibew Messenger 2.x

The second version of Mibew Messenger utilizes gettext for internationalization and localization.

To create your own translation of Mibew Messenger 2.x you'll have to download the POT file (the latest version is always available here: http://mibew.org/download2) and translate it using your favorit gettext editor.

And there is also a special repository for translations: https://github.com/Mibew/i18n


Mibew Messenger 1.6.x

How to translate:

a) Do it on your web server:

1. Install Mibew Messenger 1.6.x (the lastest version is always available here: http://mibew.org/download)
2. Download newlocale.zip (webim_newlocale151.zip) and unpack it into /locales/ folder on your server.
3. Rename locales/CC folder according to your language code
4. Edit locales/<yourlocale>/properties, last line: update localeid of your locale (ex: English)
5. Make sure /locales/<yourlocale>/properties has write attribute (on the server)
6. Navigate to /mibew/operator/translate.php on your server (translation UI)

b) Ask us to setup it for you:

1. Tell us the language you'd like to translate
2. We'll provide the link to translation UI

Next step is to translate the images. You can do it by yourself, or post the translation of all phrases in this forum.
