I need a hand!
« on: August 06, 2011, 01:56:40 PM »
Hello all! and thanks for reading,

I'm writing on behalf of Leeds Nightline, we're an organisation who provide emotional help for students.

I'm their IT guy, and I've implemented an instant messaging system for providing people with emotional and other support, but it uses an unreliable program... so I'm trying to switch to mibew!

Is there a way of doing any of these things:
  • Turning off the "email this conversation" button
  • Only allowing one person to talk at once (or automatically marking support as busy/away)
  • Rephrasing some of the phrases to sound more supporting (rather than business like!)

Thank you so much for any help in advance,
Kind regards, Phil

Phil,

1. You can turn off the email by not setting one. Other than that, you can go into the templates and remove that button all together.

2. I don't think there is a way to do this, however, you could let them sit in the que and just have an auto response say the next available agent will be right with you.

3. You can change this as well in the templates
