Topic: Do sound notificatons only work in FireFox?

Hi.  I like to keep OpenWebIM admin open in IE and use Firefox for everything else.  This is because i have so many tabs open in firefox that it often crashes/hangs when using OpenWebIM with FireFox (3.0.5).

When a chatter comes in, the IE taskbar icon blinks nicely to alert me , but there is no functioning audio alert.

Is this to be expected?

I've just tried it on IE, and it works fine for me. Maybe reinstall?....

I agree I am using goolgle chrome and Opera too and it also works fine. Have you scanned the configuration in tools of your browser? I am thinking that there is something that is turned off in the sound for its notification.
