I am not a php programmer and the only guide i can find for how to edit the styles says. Here are some codes figure the rest out.
I need the style to be thin like 1/3 as thin as it currently is
How do i do this?

One should understand that it's impossible to modify the style just in a couple of mouse clicks. One have to do some operations manually. But one don't have to be a programmer to make a new style.
The creation of a new style was already described at the forum: https://mibew.org/forums/index.php/topic,191966.msg199029.html#msg199029 (and, BTW, it could be found via search).

I don't know what do you mean by that. But maybe you'll be able to achieve your goal just by altering the CSS. In that case it won't be required to rebuild the custom style.
