Support / Re: change local time
« Last post by alfredosimoes on December 27, 2017, 10:49:40 PM »
This an old issue about setting local time.

At .../mibew/operator/locale/pt-pt/edit there is Time Locale field to change the local time. In my case it has pt_PT.UTF8

Any way my time is still wrong.

Anyone can help solving this old problem?

As one could easily observe there are not so much activity in Mibew community these days...  :-\

We lack designers. (As a matter of fact we lack contributors at all.) There were a number of people who promised to contribute a theme, but they never did. I don't blame them: since Mibew Messenger is an open source project, the decision of contribution is a matter of free will. Probably they shouldn't have made a public statements, but what's done is done...

However, if anyone will send us a responsive theme, we'll do our best to include it in the code base of the project.

Were you able to develop a mobie layout?

I have the same question.
Nowadays, responsive functionality is a must-have for businesses.

"Because of known vulnerability in the old version of Handlebars.js." - This is due to the vulnerability of XSS?

Yes. I don't believe that it could seriously affect the existing installations of Mibew Messenger, however the security is never enough.

At the moment you can't do that. There are no such access restrictions in the system. Maybe someday it will change, but not in the near future. (But the situation can change if you find / hire someone who will implement this feature and make a pull request to the project.)

Dear, good afternoon! All right?

I'm from Brazil and I'm using Google Translate, so excuse me if something is hard to understand.

When I uncheck all the permissions of the user, it still has access to some screens (Canned Messages, Chat History, Statistics). How can I change so that by deselecting the permission options, I also do not have access to these screens?

NOTE: The user can only access the HOME, VISITORS and EXIT screens when clearing all user permissions.

Thank you very much for your help!

Good news, everyone! The new major release of Mibew Messenger is ready!

1. Why this release is major?

It's because the enumeration of Mibew Messenger versions follows convention of semantic versioning.

We switched from Handlebars.js 3 to Handlebars.js 4 as the client side templates engine. It costed us nothing, all templates of our default theme stayed unchanged and works just fine. However due to some backwards incompatibility issues there could be some troubles with a third party themes.

2. Why the aforementioned change has been done?

Because of known vulnerability in the old version of Handlebars.js.

3. Are there any other changes since Mibew Messenger 2.3.0 release?

Nothing special, just a couple of bug fixes.

4. Is this update necessary?

Because of its nature related to security the update is highly recommended.
