Now I'm confused. I am user of Debian and saw a package offering
What is the package? How do I install it?
I downloaded the package source using git, but all my attempts have failed to install

Could you talk a little bit about that?

And what makes you think that Mibew Messenger project has something to do with that repo and its code? 

(Not to mention the fact that as far as I can see this repository isn't related to Debian GNU/Linux too.)
