Create a file called .htaccess and place it where it tells you.

Here is a good website that tells you about .htaccess:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/howto/htaccess.html

It seems you haven't uploaded the file, it exists in the archive!

Great, I found the solution. It seems like the .htaccess file was hidden, directly uploading the whole "mibew164" file and then rename it to webim. If you occur the 403 permission error, change your install folder to 755 instead of 644. This will ensure everything you need to upload is uploaded. Good luck! Can't wait to try out the messenger.

i have the same issue,
How ever my webserver uses iirf.ini instead of .htaccess

is here an option / method / fix for using iirf.ini?

whenever i upload an .htaccess file to the server, the server returns an page with an error that an .htaccess file is found and that i need to delete this first before i may continue.

Any help would be great full appreciated
