Why is ff asking for Quicktime Plugin?
« on: July 16, 2010, 08:59:41 AM »
When a customer enters chat, in FF, he is asked to install the Quicktime plugin. Message: not all items on this page can be displayed, install plugin. WHY? And how can i avoid this?

It needs quicktime for the sounds of chatting.

I'm still scowering the forum for answer to this, but where in the code can I disable audio all together for clients so they aren't confused with the plug-in prompt?

Hi,

Just wondered if you found a solution to this?

If not, I can tell you exactly where to disable the sound, manually in the source code.
If you're a web/software developer, you might have already found the solution yourself.

Shout up if you need a hand.

hi guys sorry, aint been here long time.. i have designed new themes for chat :) but have now bigger problem.. sound not working in new ff9.0.1 and opera11.61 heh

ps: about the sound.. I've managed to switch it off but on both sides which is not good I think, because no admin notifications about new chat anymore.. so i decided to put sound back.. in mean time 99% of people have quick time pre-installed  with new computer so to remove sound from mibew will be not very smart step..
